WEEK ONE: The Soul of Herbalism
Women are healers by nature and working with plants is embedded in our DNA. However, as a result of increased technology and the speed of which we live our lives we can forget our own wild nature and connection to the earth.
During the first week of this course you will learn to embrace your wild self more deeply and create a meaningful relationship with medicinal plants and with the natural world overall. You will learn how to create herbal infusions, decoctions and tinctures. As well as how to store your herbs and which herbs you need to create your very own herbal apothecary. You will also be guided to create powerful self care practices that nourish the body and help you connect more deeply with your soul.
WEEK TWO: Healing the Heart and Uplifting the Spirit
During week two you will learn how to use herbs to treat emotional stressors such as anxiety, depression, heartbreak and loss. Herbs not only help heal and rebalance our body chemistry during times of stress but they also increase resilience and work with subtle energies to bring profound healing. You will learn how to create herbal baths that heal the nervous system, simple rituals for recovering from loss or heartbreak and herbal tisanes for easing anxiety and depression. As an added bonus we will also cover flower essences to help support emotional and energetic healing.
WEEK 3: The Beauty Way
Embrace your inner and outer beauty by learning to use plants to help you glow from the inside out. During week three we will explore the art of nourishing herbal infusions to improve the health of the skin, hair and nails. You will also learn how to create herbal facials, steams, balms and scrubs. By the end of this week you will be glowing with beauty!
WEEK FOUR: Feasting and Foraging
This week is a delicious finale to this course!
You will learn how to respectfully forage for local, wild edible plants and how to incorporate herbs into your cooking.
We will cover healing bone broths, culinary vinegars, herbal salt and spice blends as well as the art of whipping up delicious herbally inspired meals including, how to use edible flowers.
