In many Indigenous cultures around the world, there is no distinction between healing practices for people and animals; plants that support human wellness are also used to care for animals. Herbalism is both a practical skill and a living art, grounded in observation, relationship, and respect for the natural world.

Join us for a two-day immersion into the world of using herbal medicine to care for horses. Blending traditional wisdom with modern practice, you’ll explore a variety of medicinal plants and how they can support equine health, while deepening your connection to the land, the seasons, and the deep-rooted relationship between plants, animals, and people.

During this two day workshop you will learn how to:

+ Build your own equine herbal apothecary, integrating herbs into your horse’s ongoing wellness plan with confidence and intention.

+ Explore herbal support for common equine health concerns, including digestive health, injury recovery, and care during emergencies or natural disasters.

+ Get hands-on with herbal preparations, including salves, teas, infused oils, and flower essences. You’ll leave with your own custom tea blend, an equine repair salve, and a personalized flower essence for you and your horse(s).

+ Connect with plants as living allies, learning how to identify and respectfully harvest wild herbs with a spirit of reciprocity.

+ Discover how to grow medicinal plants that promote equine health, so you can cultivate what your horses need right at home.

+ Learn how to source herbs ethically and sustainably, ensuring the health of the plants, the land, and the communities they come from.
